INTERGLOBO COLLABORATES ON A LARGE-SCALE RAILWAY PROJECT IN URUGUAY
Thanks to the vast experience and deep knowledge of the South American market, Interglobo and its preferential agent Base Cargo of Uruguay were chosen, to send pieces and parts of the bridges from Spain for the rehabilitation of the 273 km of railway connecting the city of Paso de los Toros with the port of Montevideo, in order to transport goods and passengers more quickly, safely and economically.
Led and coordinated by the area and by the operational managers, Toni Escorihuela and Isabel Rodriguez, this project involves the transport of 150 containers, most of which are Open Top, as well as more than 40 beams with extra dimensions in Break bulk and ro- ro embarkation from Spanish ports.
The operation began in November 2021 and is expected to close in April or May 2022.
Despite the challenge posed by the current scenario in the international transport sector around the world due to the general lack of equipment as well as the uncertainty about transits, Interglobo keeps on time the deadlines set for the normal development of construction works.
